Wow! So jealous! Right now, were I live.......its 0 degrees! Well...... Maybe you could do some reseach around your community or others close by and find out if there is a group you can get hooked-up with! If that doesn't work, there should be some online group or practice websites that will help you practice. Just let me know and I'll give you some that I am familiar with.

I am much more comfortable with my expressive skills then my receptive skills. Is there something I can do to work on that and improve my skill level?

Actually there is a lot You can do. There are chuches for ASL. Hospitals and Law offices can always use You even if only as a free candy striper. You can learn another Sign Language like 2 hand Manual, Or Lorma. The Deaf are not the only ones that need Help. My Wife is Profound Deaf; I am nearly Blind. I've got what is called: Retinitis Pigmentosa ( Tunnel Vision)! I not only have Black Floaters, But Opaque Floaters, I have seen Halo's since early child hood, I'm Losing both; Cones and Rods in my eyes. 2 hand manual is a totally different creature, with different ettiquet. Like You don't touch a Deaf/Blind person on the shoulder's! You come up and tap them on the back of the hand; When they are ready to talk to you, they will turn their palm up. to give You a place to write with Deaf/Blind sign Language. They consider touching their shoulder's an Assult!

Some of us have video phones, My wife uses VRS: by; Sorenson, Runs through the cable system. I don't know if we are allowed to: Have Direct contact? If we are you can contact me on FaceBook! I've had to be sporadic for about 1 year, I came down with Pneumonia just when Ohio was giving me Orientation and Mobility Training. Now I have 10 foot walking capacity, and Oxygen continuous. So my Movement is limited!
