Wa aleikum alsalam,

This letter is a combination of two letters: "Alef أ" and "Laam ل". It is named "Laam Alef" or "لا".

This letter may come as a part of a word like "Assalamu aleikum السلام عليكم", or used as an individual word "لا" which means "No".

Its pronunciation is "la"

I hope it is useful,

Thank you!

   You are welcome Maria.

   Note:

In Egyptian language (slang), we say: "Shukran  شـكـرا" which means: "Thank you", and we say: "Alf Shukr  ألف شـكـر" which means: "Thank you 1000 times" not "Alf Shukran".

So, we have two expressions till now: "Shukran" and "Alf Shukr".

And there is a third one, it is: "Mutshaker متشـكـر" (for male) or "Mutshakera متشـكرة" (for female), and these words have the same meaning of: "Shukran شـكـرا".

Best regards!
