I have been working on the Arabic program for over a week but have skipped the writing portion of the sections. this was because i was waiting for the lessons in which the alphabet is explained. is this the correct approach?

The world of Arabic will open up for you once you learn to read and write in Arabic instead of using romanization letters. Arabic is a phonetic language, so it is an easy skill to acquire. You are rated Green Star, so you might want to tackle the writing as soon as you can.
