Asma'-ul-Husnaa

I would like to confirm my knowledge of reading, writing, and pronouncing the 99 beautiful names of Allah. I think I have learned them and can recite them in some order from ArRahman to AsSaboor. I am not sure of the meanings of some of them - like Al-Muta'Kabbir or Al-Muta'ali. Also there are some names that are similar - Al-Wali and Al-Wa'ali or Al-Maajid, and Al-Majeed. These words have the same root words (W-A-L and M-J-D) - yet the meanings do not seem to be similar. Can some one who really knows answers to these questions please respond? (Jibu Ta-fadhal?) I would appreciate it. Thanks.
