I have a new book and I can't figure out the following words:

القواعد
الاستماع
القراة
العامية

القواعد -> (the) grammar, rules. /qawa:ʕid/, plural of قاعِدة
الاستماع -> the (act of) listening. /istima:ʕ/
القراة -> I'm assuming this is a simplified form of  القراءة, "the (act of) reading"
العامية -> colloquial language /ʕa:mmijja/

I would only like to mention that there must have been a typo in القراة. It's either  القراءة in MSA which means "Reading" or القراية which is the same meaning but in Egyptian arabic.
