I'll put this one under the "Chinese" category, since it has to do with entering Chinese characters and pinyin.
When I add Chinese words to My Vocab, if I add the characters I'll put the corresponding pinyin in the notes, or if I add them as pinyin, I add the characters in the notes.
This goes ok up to a point, and in the My Vocab list they are all shown correctly. But when I mouse over words in the lessons and get the pop-up balloon with the translation, the notes show up garbled. Apparently the system doesn't like the vowels with tone marks, or the characters. Anything that is not a standard ascii character shows up strange.
The same thing happens when I try to edit a word in My Vocab: The "notes" field in the edit dialog box doesn't like non-vanilla characters. Maybe this is a ascii-vs-unicode issue?

I have seen the same problem and posted about it. It only happens in the definition and notes section. For instance, I had copied and pasted the Pinyin "Jiǎohuái" into the notes and later it appeared as "JiÇohuái".
