Dave: Jīntiān shíyuè shísìhào xīngqīèr。Zhège xīngqī nǐ mángma?
Dave: 今天是十月十四号星期二。这个星期你忙吗?
I THINK... that there is an extra shì in the second line. Note the third character in the second line. Either that, or it is missing in the pinyin. Having said that, I do not hear it in the conversation either. I didn't notice this before, but I regularly go back and review. I think my hearing and reading are getting better. ;)
Cheers

Yes there is an extra 是 in there. But someone had to type that script to go along with the audio. Take note they naturally chose to put a 是 in there. However, it's not at all required and the sentence is correct either way! The "notes" tab in each lesson will submit change requests straight to the editors - fastest way to see your corrections!
