Lesson 2.1 "Planning a Trip" Feedback - Extra Vocabulary

I would like to see the extra vocabulary contain more of the expressions that are directly from the lesson. A good example of what I would like to see is from Rocket Review. Currently, the extra vocabulary has (and for expediency I am just giving the Pinyin without the diacritics) huanying, di'er, danyuan, diyi, ke, hen, Tai haole, Xiaci jian. Most (all) of these words appeared in the extra vocabulary from previous lessons. Rocket Review includes the following words: ji hua, qu, luxing, jihua qu luxing, xia ge, xia ge yue, yuanyi, he, yi qi, he wo yi qi, shi de, feichang, xiang, difang, kan, kan yi kan, xiao, xiao shi hou, zhu, zhu zai. If the extra vocubulary included these words in addition to what it already has, then the testing sections would also include them. We can then master (mark easy) the simpler words without having to master entire sentences like "Ni xiang qu Zhongguo shenme difang" or "Wo jihua xiageyue qu Zhongguo luxing". You already have the recordings of these phrases (see Rocket Review) so please consider this for this section and subsequent sections. Also, it has been a long time since I listened to the whole lesson but if they include phrases that are not shown in the text (as sometimes they do), that would be good to add to the Extra Vocabulary.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your email and for your feedback - it is much appreciated. Unfortunately the words that are covered in the Rocket Review are not considered Extra Vocabulary, because they are all taken from the Conversation taught in that lesson. The aim of the Interactive Audio lessons is to teach conversations, so we have tried not to split things up too much, but obviously we wanted an Extra Vocab section for any words and phrases included in a lesson that were not taught in the conversation. We can add your comments to a list of possible improvements to the course, to be looked into at a later date. All the best!

Hi Robert, I thought you might like to know that we have added your suggestion of including the Rocket Review audio in the Extra Vocab to our To Do list. We have lots of other projects on the go at the moment, but as soon as we have some free time, we will get started on this task. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Upon reflection, I have amended my suggestion to adding a "Lesson Vocabulary" section. In this section you can add all of the words and phrases that are included in Rocket Review. Basically, anything new or possibly unfamiliar should appear in this section. Then, the testing would be augmented with these words. Hopefully, we can see this in the 2015 edition.
