Lesson 3.1 “Catching A Ride” Feedback

First, the “Extra Vocabulary” section has the same usual group of words that we have seen before plus a couple newer words. I would like to see more words and phrases from this lesson included as well. Here are some examples from this lesson where the English translation does not exactly match what is being said in Chinese. Qǐng kāichē sòng wǒmen qù Běijīng Wángfǔjǐng Fàndiàn。Xièxie。 Please drive us to the Wangfujing Hotel. Thanks! Should be “Please drive us to the Beijing Wangfujing Hotel. Thanks.” Beijing is missing in the translation. Shìde，yǐqián zhǐ zài diànshì shàng kànguò Běijīng。 Yes, I only know Beijing from TV programs. When I see the English and am asked in the testing section to say the Chinese, I tend to leave out the “yǐqián”. The translation should probably be something like: Yes, I had previously only seen Beijing on TV. The time word “yǐqián” adds the previous time dimension. Běijīng shì Zhōngguó de shǒudū，yě shì zhèngzhì hé wénhuà zhōngxīn。 Nǐ kěyǐ xiàng wǒ tuījiàn yīnggāi cānguān de dìfāng ma? In the sentences above, the translations are fine but they contain a lot of words and phrases that would be helpful to include in the Extra Vocabulary section.
