Hello. I am looking for clarity on the correct answers to questions 1 and 5 in the quiz at the end of the test section. I do not understand why I was marked as incorrect, and would be grateful for some guidance.

On question 1, le is not a question particle. The other words are question particles.
On question 5, shidian erke means 10 + 2 quarters as opposed to shidian ban (10 + 1 half). You never say erke when you can say ban (half).

Hi. Thank you very much. I learn something new every day. With question 5, I thought that the time had to be stated in terms of larger units first. Tricky.

Regarding question 5, chà sānshífēn shíyīdiǎn means "30 minutes prior to 11". The order is still correct, as they are just using the form of indicating amount prior to the specified hour (like chàyīkè shíyīdiǎn says "a quarter to 11").

chà sānshífēn shíyīdiǎn or shiyidian cha sanshifen are not incorrect but most Chinese would not say it either way.
They would say shidian sanshifen 10 oclock 30 minute's
