However hard I try, I cannot remember Chinese characters. I have been exploring the internet for help, and have found lots of pages of varying quality and usefulness. Typically, the type I find helpful offer a square in which you draw the shape of a character, and they then offer suggestions as to what character your shape might be intended to be. The best one I found lets you select a target character, and as you try to draw it, they give brief hints in the background of where the next stroke should be drawn. Oh, that was good. Trouble is, I've lost the address - I was exploring so many at the time that I didn't realize that that particular one was outstanding, and I failed to record its details. Can anyone help, please? JC

Hi there,
Chinese characters are probably the hardest part to learn.
Unfortunately I don't know the sites which you are referring to.
Recently we have added a writing section in the "Langauge and Culture" lessons that gives you the possibility to see how to write Chinese characters yourself.
I hope this helps.
All the best for your Chinese learning!

I've found skritter.com and archchinese.com to be somewhat helpful :)
