I've created an 8 month plan to learn conversational French. I'm wondering if I can really be bilingual in French if I dedicated 8 months of Rocket French and other structures I have in place. Is this do-able or am I being highly ambitious? I am learning French not only because I am so severely passionate about it but also because I want to increase my "worth" in the Customer Service industry by being bilingual.

Well, I think it's a little unrealistic to expect to be bilingual in eight months, but good luck to you.
I had been studying French for a little over two years on my own, and working with native French-speaking tutors for the past year (5 séances a week), along with 1-2 hrs. of grammar exercises every night, and I'm still not what I would consider "fluent". Yes, I can have spontaneous conversations and can express myself, but I still don't feel as though I have the depth of vocabulary to "talk shop" about science and engineering. I'm still at that threshold between B2 and C1.

Thank you for your reply and for sharing your experience...really helpful and has given me an idea of what I need to do, ongoing. While I don't expect to be bilingual in the fullest extent of the word, I would like to be able to relate, understand and have conversations in French and definitely not in the context of science & engineering. I understand that becoming bilingual would be an on going commitment & study of the language. Fortunately, I am planning to use this skill for the customer service industry like an airline for example, which will largely deal with routine & expression.

I would say everything is possible given amount of energy you spend on it. 8 months, with regular lessons, exposures and commitment, should be possible. But I doubt you can get there only with Rocket French. Of course if you are living in a French speaking country it would make it much easier.
One way to boost your French would be writing.
