Question about expression ni l'un, ni l'autre usage?

Eric: Tu as pris une chambre à l'hôtel

             ou bien tu as loué une maison ?

Anne :Ni l'un, ni l'autre !

Since “chambre” and “maison” are both feminine nouns in gender. 

In the above dialogue, can we use ni l'une, ni l'autre instead?
