Salut tout le monde in a sentence - hello everyone Le monde can also means “world” depending on the type of sentence. Is this correct?

Yes, I believe "tout le monde" is used for "everybody", "everyone", "all" depending on the context. Once I saw tout le monde meanint "le monde entier" the entire world, but that's rare. And le monde is for "the world".
