nicht wahr?

I noticed that Rocket German prefers "nicht wahr" to "oder" to express "isn't it". However in daily German conversation I almost never hear German people using "nicht wahr?" Instead they use "oder?" a lot more frequently. Is there a reason that Rocket German takes "nicht wahr" over "oder"?

I believe there are some lessons that use oder although I can't recall exactly which ones.

Hi Bryon, Thanks for replying. I used phrase finder and you are right. There are two sentences using "oder" from the grammar course.
