Italian in my brain

I had a medical procedure today that required anesthesia.  As I was waking up, my husband was rubbing my shoulders. Half awake, I started speaking to him in Italian. As I became more awake, I realized I was speaking Italian and we both started laughing. I guess it's really in my brain. It should be after all the hours I've spent listening and practicing.

Hope you are okay and recovering. I know what you mean. Find myself waking up and thinking of sentences in Italian and having a dialogue too. Well all bits help, I guess. Don't have someone to practice speaking Italian, so I guess it is going to have to be conversations in my head. Hope to meet someone I can converse with over coffee
