French shows and documentaries on youtube

Salut tout le monde, 

The conversation about the French TV show on BBC 4 made me think and I remembered a great channel which is a French-German co-production, called ARTE. They show documentaries (par exemple "secrets de chats") and infotainment (genre “la mode a bas prix”) and the programmes range from 25 minutes to 2 hours. The French subtitles seem decent, so it's a great way to improve listening skills. 

Any other ideas?

ARTE is great, they have many documentaries and they come out quite regularly. It is quite formal and long though so if you're looking for something a bit more informal and bit-sized, then I would suggest BRUT: https://www.youtube.com/@BrutFR

BRUT is full of all sorts of content from mini documentaries / news reports, to interviews, explainers etc. so there is something in there for everyone.

France24 also has a lot of interesting news reports and they have interesting series that delve deep into French culture, people “living the news”, pop-culture, history and follow-ups on news events from 10 years ago, so this is also worth havingg a look at.

Other than that there are a plethora of French channels now edvoted to all sorts of things, including a host of French teachers putting out a lot of great content that is easy to follow. French mornings with Elisa and Francais avec Nelly are a couple of good examples.

I hope you guys find something that you enjoy consuming. The more fun it is, the more you learn.
