I'm not sure about the proper English phonetic writing but I would say zhee-raf with the f sounded.
I remembered from long time ago the nuns/teachers taught us the mnemonic CAREFUL to remember to sound the 4 consonants at the end of the word when most of them are not. But with French I'm sure there are exceptions to the exceptions.
