I will be in Paris over Easter this year. Is this a busy time or do lots of people leave the capital to holiday elsewhere? What I really need to know is whether this timing will make it harder or easier to get into places like The Louvre. I will be staying in Le Marais. Are there are any places that should definitely be on my agenda at this time of the year? I only have 5 days.

The saturday before Paques is hugely busy with people buying food, drink, flowers, and eggs (bonbons), but the sunday it's deserted as the Parisians spend time with their family - except in the Marais where the shops are usually open. Since the weather is so good now, enjoy the outdoors - the Tuleries, Parc Luxembourg, etc. Should be a good time for the museums.
