I understand that in the EU there is a standard 3-level rating of competency: A1, A2 B1, B2, and C1, C2 (where C2 is the highest, very close to native). Is there a way to determine where one is on this rating scale? Thanks.
Is there a way to test my level in French?

C'est une bonne question. Ce serait une option fantastique.

Oui, comme une option, ou peut-être ils peuvent nous dire un sit de test standard.

I have French tutoring twice a week, and my teacher administers my exam every other month to check progress, so it's not online. Here's a recreational one you could try though. It's shorter, but the result level matched up with the longer test when I took it.

No problem, roxypalooza and Lance, glad to help!
Hi Abdurrezagh - I'm actually not the tutor, I'm the student. :) The link to the quiz is the blue button that says "Start Quiz" (in all caps, scroll down a little).

I tried your testing site, Toru, and it seems fairly accurate. But I am wondering if you had a second testing site, with a longer test, perhaps.
Or does anyone else know of a good testing site that will return the A1-C2 level it thinks you're at. Thanks!
