Possible error in lesson 21.6 quiz.

I suspect there is an error in the last question in the quiz for lesson 21.6.
The correct answer should be « elle s'est vue offrir un poste » but this option is not presented, instead the "correct" answer given has vu not vue.

Good catch! I'd be curious to hear the answer as well. I would have thought that it would be «vu» because «elle» -- the subject -- is not the implied performer of the action, but the earlier example in 21.6 says that it's «vue».

Thanks for the reply.

I note that this phrase was originally introduced in lesson 19.2 (Le voisin), and is used in the current lesson as an example of the passive voice.
In both 19.2 and the body of lesson 21.6 we have vue, it's only the quiz which is different.

Salut Peter--252 et toru e !

Thank you for pointing out this error. You're right: it should indeed be vue and not vu. I've made sure that the quiz has been corrected.

The reason behind this is because voir is being used reflexively here in the passé composé tense with être. Since it's referring back to the feminine subject of the sentence, the feminine -e ending needs to be added to the end of the verb's past participle, vu. You can find a quick recap of this sort of rule in Lesson 20.5 (https://members.rocketlanguages.com/members/french/lessons/1037/20-5-reflexive-pronouns-part-one).

Do let me know if any of this needs clarifying!

À plus tard,

Liss
