Currently working through lesson 1.14 quantities. I have noticed that when referring to negative plurals the des becomes de can someone please explain this to me? To my mind even thought it is negative the noun is still plural so it should be des but the lesson testing shows otherwise. eg: il n'y a pas de livres dans le sac
toru e

toru e

That's one of the rules that you'll run into. In a negation, you will use *de* for singular or plural.
