Error in chapter 4.4 (level 1) ?

In Level 1, chapter 4.4 (interactive audio) is the sentence "Certainement, nous aussi nous avons des plats végétariens”. Shouldn't this be “Certainement, nous avons aussi des plats végétariens”?

Salut LeonieM4 !

Thank you for your question! Both Certainenment, nous avons aussi des plats végétariens and Certainement, nous aussi nous avons des plats végétariens are possible sentences in French; they just have a slight difference in meaning.

Certainenment, nous avons aussi des plats végétariens means "Certainly, we also have vegetarian dishes" - in this case, the person speaking is offering vegetarian dishes as an additional alternative.

Certainement, nous aussi nous avons des plats végétariens means "Certainly, we too have vegetarian dishes" - the literal translation is "Certainly, we too we have some vegetarian dishes." This type of sentence construction is common in spoken French, and it puts some emphasis on the "we too" part of the sentence - a bit like saying, "we have it too, they're not the only ones."

I hope that this is helpful! Do let me know if you still have any questions.

À la prochaine,

Liss
