How to spell correctly

How do you spell words correctly in French. You see I am quite new. I have no idea how to improve or even spell in French Can you help me?

Did you know that neither the germans nor the spanish could have Spelling Bees? That's because the rules of pronunciation are so strong, there's only one way to spell what you hear. In english and french, though, there are many ways to spell the same sounds, which makes it difficult. Three thoughts: 1) memorize - look at a french word "chien", listen to it being pronounced (here or online dictionaries) close your eyes and visualize the letters over and over. 2) realize that there are many ways to spell the french sound <owe> : au, aux, eau, ... and study the word to associate which way of spelling it goes with the word "Les animaux" -> remember that the plural of au-ending is aux 3) realize that 3rd person plural "-ent" endings are NOT pronounced, but you have to include them in the spelling.
