Hello everybody and happy new year! (Let's hope so)
I'm new in this forum and in Rocket French. I'm from Barcelona, Spain, and although English is not my first language I've decided to brush up my French "in English" instead of Spanish. This way I can practice both languages. So, please forgive any mistakes you might find when expressing myself in English.
Let's talk about French:
Ref.: Lesson Plan 3. Talking about people Part 1.
In the first Audio about "Être" (People, Actions and Descriptions):
"Il est hereux" and "Elle est hereuse" are pronounced doing "la liaison".
In the very next Audio "Robert est hereux" and "Elle est hereuse" are pronounced sans faire la liaison. Pourquoi? Are both correct? or is it that I just have hearing problems?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Ferran

Hi Ferran,
welcome to Rocket French. I hope you enjoy the course and the forum.
Your English is superb!
In regards to your question:
Both pronunciations are correct, however native French speaker will most likely use "la liason" unless of course they want to make sure a beginner understand them.
If you feel confident enough to pronounce the words avec la liason please do so as this will make you sound more natural.
I hope that helps.
:D
