module 5 with all the pronouns is a huge and very frustrating barrier

I don't know if it's the course or if it is me, but I am completely stuck.

The grammar about the pronouns won't get into my brain, there were some exceptions that weren't explained and maybe it's cause I am learning french through my second language.

It has not been a problem so far, since my english is quite good, but this chapter is really really frustrating.

Has anybody else had this experience too?

Good for you if you are in module 5!

I've been stuck in module 1 for ever!

Hey TeresaL6,

how long have you been stuck?

Do you know why?

A certain Robert had posted condescending remarks on my struggle, that have been removed, so I erased my response to them as well.

The rocket languages team however informed me, that all grammar about pronouns in level 1, because it is part of the A2 level of the CEFR (COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES).

I don't know what's still ahead, but the pronouns have really been a hurdle for me.

Having them all in one module is quite a lot - splitting them up might be more pleasent, but since they all belong together that might not be an ideal solution either … so what to do.

I build my own flashcards to train the usage of the pronouns.
Frontside: french sentense with one or two highlighted objects, that I am supposed to substitute with pronouns.

Backside: solution, so the french sentense where the objects are substituted by the pronouns.

This way they are in context and focused to train me to use the pronouns.

That makes more sense to me then the randomised flashcards we get in the listening/writing/recalling when training to use a certain grammar rule.

I also summarize the grammar in a word document for myself, so I can look for rules easier without clicking through the different modules.

I am not bashing rocket languages.
I chose it because it contains the grammar, which was completely missing from another app, I used. I also chose it, because it has an emphasis on conversation with the interactive audio.

It's also great to hear the native speakers, record myself and compare, record again etc.

However, I do persieve rocket language, as great as it is to have all the grammar, as a bit grammar heavy and that can sometimes be … not that much fun.

While some other courses/apps are gamelike and keep you going, while not learning so much - the grammar heavyness can be tidious and frustrating at times.

I wish there was a middleground, the “all in”-course that is fun and contains the grammar as well, but maybe that is not possible.
