Question about how to say...

I am a mere beginner, so this question might seem elementary to some.

Combine ça coûte? means “how much does this cost?”.

Combine coûte une pomme? means, “ how much does an apple cost?".

How does one ask “How much does this/that apple cost?”? And can you go further for “those apples”, the plural?

Thank you.

Bonjour!

Sure, here we go:

- Combien coûte cette pomme? (How much does this apple cost?)

- Combien coûte cette pomme là? (How much does that apple (there) cost?)
- Combien coûtent ces pommes? (How much do those apples cost?)

Note how the verb changes to agree with the plural.

I hope this helps,
