Bonjour à vous deux! Simply put the subjunctive is a mood (as opposed to a tense) and is used to express subjective ideas or things that are uncertain: will/wanting, emotion, doubt, possibility, necessity, judgment. It is usually found in clauses introduced by que or qui, and the subjects of the dependent and main clauses are more often than not different. Take it slowly when learning the subjunctive, it can be difficult for English speakers because although we technically have it in English, the use of it has become a lot more indistinct over the centuries. Continuez comme ça! Keep up the good work! - Marie-Claire
