Having trouble with recording during play it tests

I have just started revising with the play it tests using the new version and I find that it often fails to recognise the last word in a sentence although it is clearly present on the playback. I don't seem to get this problem when I record an individual sentence.

I never had this problem with the old version although it is a couple of months since I used  Play It.

 I think the speech recognition is a little more demanding than it was which is fine.

I have checked the mic level and the recording is clear on playback.

Thanks very much for getting in touch with us about this! Our tech team has recently implemented a fix for voice recognition lengths that should hopefully have taken care of this. Could you let us know if you are still experiencing problems?

Hi Liss, I am still having problems with the end of sentences getting cut off. I can sometime get it to work if I say the end of the sentence really fast. This doesn't affect every sentence and it seems worse in some modules than others. It was quite bad in 13.2 - Job interview.

I think it is something to do with timing.

For example, this sentence appears in 13.3.

Kann ich bitte eine Nachricht für ihn hinterlassen?

It is spoken quite fast and if I try to match the speed of the tutor, then I can get 100%, but if I say it a bit slower but clearly, it truncates hinterlassen. On the other hand I might not have the problem with much longer sentences

Perhaps when using play it I don't speak quite as fast, especially when the German is hidden. It is a bit frustrating when the playback sounds perfect, but it is truncated.

Here is another sentence which is truncated if not spoken quickly:

From 13.4

Die Resonanz ist nicht so gut wie erhofft.

The response is not as good as we hoped

Indeed, the voice recognition is set up slightly different in the new version of the Members' Area and there have been some problems getting the timing to match each sentence properly. Our tech team has developed a new fix that seems to resolve the problem and is now live. Could you let us know if you are still experiencing this issue?
