How to go about certification .

Hi.

I would like to know how should I go about getting the required language certification in German?
I am earning the language only through Rocket Language.

Thank you for your question. It depends on what you need the certification for e.g. university entrance , residence permit/visa etc. There are a few different educational institutions offering exams for German language certificates such as the Certificate of a Goethe-Institute Test or the TestDaF Certificate.

Hallo Julia .

My objective for the certificate is not for university , visa ...but to know my strength of the language and also to tell others what level I am at .
So if I were to take TestDaf or Certificate of a Goethe-Institute Test , I would like to know besides Rocket German , do I need any other learning material ? I would start from the beginners level .

I completed all three levels of Rocket German and then I started some lessons with a German teacher on iTalki. She said that I was a solid A2 working towards B1.
However I had also completed the Deutche Welle Nicos Weg course which has three levels A1, A2 and B1.

It covers similar material to Rocket German but with a completely different approach. It appears to be aimed at immigrants wanting to learn German.

Maybe that gives an Idea?

I am yet currently at Level 1 . So no where near the language coverage you have done .
