I'd be interested in how anyone might be utilizing these materials via smartphone while driving or running. Obviously it can't substitute for the time you spend working through the lessons at a computer & keyboard, but it would be nice to make use of long drives or runs for supplemental learning.

Hi RobertD50,
Sure! It is possible to use the course while driving or running; when on a mobile device we do have an app available for Android and iOS where you can stream the lessons; however you do need to interact with it and tap on the lessons and places where you would like to go. If you would like to just listen to the audio, like an MP3 file, you can download the audio lessons (the long audio clips) from a desktop/laptop, and then transfer it to the device you'd like to use.
In order to download the audio lessons, you can simply click on the download icon which is located next to the audio clip:

I hope this helps!

Thanks. I should've mentioned that I'm familiar with the app & how to download clips. I was just wondering if anyone had any outside-the-box ways they used the program in the car or while running, especially to review troublespots.

You could try downloading German podcasts, you can find them with google. They are available for various levels of German.

Hi Robert. I've been using the app to listen to the audio lessons on my 40 min commute to and from work each day. I speak out loud in the car as if I were at a computer with a headset, even though it doesn't capture and record your vocals. I find that if I listen to an audio lesson 2-3 times in the car (without any visuals) it seems to help for when I sit down to do the exercises on the computer. On occasion, I'll go back to one of the earlier lessons as a refresher in the car as well, especially if I have a longer commute that day (traffic). I'm only on Level 1, Module 6, but I've found this to be fairly effective.
I would also agree with sfpugh that German podcasts help in the car, or in my case, I'll just listen exclusively to Rammstein songs, seeing how many more words I can pick up each time :-).
