Hello.
I don't know what to do to get the MegaGerman to work on a macintosh. Real Player doesn't seem to play anything and there's no real "interface" to use. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Hi Barry,
I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have successfully installed MegaGerman then you should have a Rocket Languages icon on your desktop. Just double click this icon to start the game, you don't need Real Player in order to run the game as all the files are in exe format.
You will need computer speakers or a headset to be able to listen to and play the MegaAudio and MegaVocab Game.
Please let me know if you are experiencing difficulties downloading the Games and I will give you step-by-step instructions.
Thank you!

Hi.
I have an Apple Mac. I think .exe files are Window executable files and don't run on mac machines. Is this not true?

Hi again Barry,
the MegaGames are designed to run on both, Mac (requirements: Classic Mode or OS X, 120 MHz PowerPC,32 MB RAM) and PC, so I would recommend that you delete all previous download attempts and start fresh again. Before you download the Mega Games please ensure that you have Stuffit Expander installed in your computer, as you will need this program to complete the installation. You can download Stuffit for free via the following link:
http://www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/
Once you download the MegaGerman Installer again, you will see a folder called megagerman.zip. Extract the folder using Stuffit Expander.
Once all the contents of the folder are extracted, you should see a few different files inside the MegaGerman folder. Click on the file with the Rocket German icon (RocketGerman.exe) to run the MegaGames.
If you are still having problems, please let me know.

Hello again.
Thanks for replying.
I downloaded the file using Firefox as requested. It should be around 33MB but the file which downloaded instantly is only 664kB. It is an .exe file and not the .sitx file that it should be. I have an new mac (intel) and the requirements are for an older powerpc macintosh, this is why it doesn't work..... because It's not a universal binary piece of software.
I tried it on an older macintosh and it the download works fine....33MB all fine. However, the older mac (my girlfriend's) only has OSX 10.3.9 so the .sitx file will not open, it says error. The operating system is too old so I cannot use the games at all on any of the macs in my house.
Do you think you will release a Universal Binary version of the games any time soon so I can use all the features of Rocket German?
Thanks
Barry

Hey Barry, I'm very sorry that you haven't been able to use the games yet. Our technical team will look into the issue. The file might have lost it's file integrity during the upload process. Thank you for your patience and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi.
No problem, I can wait. I tried it on someone else's IntelMac and it didn't work. It's most probably not Universal Binary.
Hopefully the tech folk can sort it out.
Thanks

Hi Barry,
I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you.
We tested the latest verison of the game on a 1.83 ghz Intel Core Duo Imac, 2gb Ram, OS X - 10.4.10 and it worked. Unfortunately, we have to wait for a Director update, which is supposed to come out in the next three months in order to update our current version. In the meantime please let me know your Mac details so that we can hopefully find a way around it. We could also send you the game on a disc to make sure that it's not because of a download issue. Please let me know if that is an option for you, thank you.

You can send the CD version to check in case it is a download problem. I'll private message you my address.
Again, thanks.
