Hi Everyone, I am 21 years old and been with my partner for 4 years, he is with the army and we just found out that his regiment is moving to Germany next year for 6 years. So I thought instead of going over and knowing nothing, I would try this course and try not to look an idiot when I arrive in Germany. I am making my other half do it aswell so he doesn't always rely on me for communication. I am a little nervouse though as I did take French when I was at school and did not pass, , I don't think i can speak english correctly let alone another language, but I am going to have ago and see what happenes. Wish me luck, :) Hope everyone is having fun with their course xx

That's exciting. Do you know where abouts in Germany you will be? Good luck with your learning and keep us updated on how you get on. We are in the process of recording another Interactive Audio Course at the moment, which will have some lessons on how to get set up in Germany (like how to rent a place, open a bank account etc), so that will be very helpful once you have finished the first one. :D

HELLO, ClaireH, just reading your post, you are right to learn a little before you go! there's nothing worse than keep saying "what did he say or what did she say" and the Germans will have time for you if you try to speak their language! I know ~I've worked and lived there it's a great place and I've been to quite a few barracks as my uncle and aunt were NAFFI managers so we were fed well. lol, good luck! tony
