Play it

There are zeros above the ‘play as…’ buttons - what is the purpose? It seems like it would be tallying how many times you have played the conversation, but they always seem to stay at zero. My points are going up, so I suppose it doesn't matter, I just wish there were better instructions for this part of the program.

Hallo ZeoE13,

Thank you for your question! The numbers above the “Play as” buttons indicate your points / how much you got right when you play as one of the characters in the conversation. For example, when you click on “Play as Paul”, say his lines out load into your computer's microphone and pronounce it correctly, the number on top will change to “100”.

Hope this helps!

Viele Grüße,

Julia

No, that didn't help. I'm working with Jonathan and starting to understand how it is supposed to work, but I get no ratings at all. I've tried a different microphone and still nothing.

Thanks,

Zoe

It might be worth pointing out that numbers at the top only change when you complete the conversation so it is an average of you individual score for each phrase.

The score for each phrase is a percentage, not points.

The green per cent score for a phrase appears next to the little speaker icon after you say the phrase.

I hope that helps

Hallo nochmal,

thanks sfpugh for pointing this out. You're right, it's a percentive once you complete the conversation.

Do you get scores for the individual phrases when going through the conversaton, ZoeE13?

Viele Grüße,

Julia
