Possible translation error for Zwetschge

There is a possible translation error in module  17.3:

Menschen necken, Tiere quälen, Äpfel, Birnen, Zwetschgen stehlen
Teasing creatures - climbing fences, stealing apples, pears, and quinces,

Zwetschge is translated as quince but according to Leo it is plum or damson and quince is die Quitte.

Hi sfpugh,

It looks like the poem has been translated in a way that maintains the original rhythm and rhymes, so quinces was used to rhyme with fences, even if it's not the most literal translation.

Thanks for the explanation, but in a teaching program surely something should be added in brackets to indicate that the word actually means plums?
