Ive been listening to this song over and over again and I love it though I dont understand most of the words  ... And also if someone could help me pronounce these words: zärtlichkeiten überwältigt nehm meine träume für bare münze, schwelge in phantasien / hab mich in dir gefangen, weiß nicht wie mir geschieht / wärm mich an deiner stimme, leg mich zur ruhe in deinen arm / halt mich nur ein bißchen bis ich schlafen kann / fühl mich bei dir geborgen, setz mein herz auf dich / will jeden moment genießen, dauer ewiglich / bei dir ist gut anlehnen, glück im Überfluß / dir willenlos ergeben, find ich bei dir trost / bin vor freude außer mir, will langsam mit dir untergehn / kopflos, sorglos, schwerelos in dir verlier'n / deck mich zu mit zärtlichkeiten, nimm im sturm, die nacht ist kurzt / friedvoll, liebestoll, überwältigt von dir / schön daß es dich gibt / komm erzähl mir was, plauder auf mich ein / ich will mich an dir satthörn, immer mit dir sein / betanke mich mit leben, laß mich in deinem arm / halt mich nur ein bißchen, bis ich schlafen kann / halt mich, daß ich schlafen kann Thank you!!! :D

Hi there, There is another song from "Herbert Grönemeyer" called "Mensch" which is very nice too. "Zärtlichkeiten" is the plural of "Zärtlichkeit" which means tenderness. "überwältigt" means overwhelmed. The song is very hard to translate as it uses a lot of metaphors that don't necessarily make sense in English. Here is a rough translation so you know what it's all about: I take my dreams seriously, live my fantasies/ I'm kind of caught by you, don't know whats happening to me/ I warm myself on your voice/ go to sleep in your arm/ Hold me just a little bit, until I'm able to sleep/ I feel safe with you/ bet my heart on you/ I want to enjoy every moment/ for ever and ever/ I can rely on you/loads of happiness/ I obey you/find comfort/ I'm overwhelmed with happiness/ I want to go down with you slowly/ loosing myself in you "head-lessly", "worry-lessly", weightlessly/ cover me with tenderness/take me like a storm/the night is short/ peacefully, full of love/ absolutely overwhelmed by you/ it's so nice that you exist/ come on, tell me somehting about you/ just keep chatting to me/ I want to listen to you until I'm satisfied, always be with you/ charge up on life/ keep me in your arms/ hold me, just a little while, until I'm able to sleep/ hold me, so that I can go to sleep. :D

Ok, that quites inpressive. I studied History for my GCSE's and we studied WW2. There was a song we found on the net when we where researching it and it was a very easy song to remember. I have only started my course today so could someone translate this for me? This may not been even real German, it was just something we found, so could somone let me know if this is a real German song or is it aload of rubbish? Hi there, It's a children's song actually and I'm sure it is quite common in other European countries as well. The lyrics are: Hop, hop, hop, Pferdchen lauf gallopp. über Stock und über Steine aber brich dir nicht die Beine hop, hop, hop, Pferdchen lauf gallopp. Here is a translation: hop, hop, hop, little horse gallopp over sticks and stones but don't break your legs hop, hop, hop, little horse gallopp :D
