I have been going through some of the grammar lessons in Level 2 and 3 and have found them lacking.

Level one was so intense, but on the other levels they are not great to say the least.

Even in the conversation lessons grammar explanations are just not there. By this time to recite like a parrot each conversation in the teaching section, I don't really need.

I can get that in the actual conversations.

I do however wonder how the grammar works and the consruction.

I have found Rocket really good in level one, but other levels lack grammar content.

Hi Maxie, I agree that the upper levels are weak on grammer. I think they are more about building up vocabulary. They also contain lots of useful snippets even if the you wouldn't use the full sentences in conversation. You can use the snippets help make your own sentences.

It is a difficult step to get from A1/A2 to B1 and beyond. I am still struggling with it and I hear a lot native German. I don't thnk any of the courses have really cracked it.

I do conversation practice on iTalki which helps.

Hallo Maxie und sfpugh,

Thanks very much for your feedback!

A review of the Rocket German Level 2 Language & Culture lessons is actually currently in progress, with new lessons being written that will bring the Level 2 content in line with that of Level 1. So, watch this space: improved grammar explanations are on their way! A post will be created here on the forum to announce when the new content is ready.

Grüße,

Liss
