Hi gang qfarben has 7 funny episodes on youtube to help people learning german. There is a american guy living with germans etc It has helped me ! .Type in Learn german ( Deutsch Lernen) into youtube and you find them. Let me know how yous get on Gary Northern ireland

Thanks Gary, I've checked one show out and found it helpful. I find it really interesting when I manage to put the pieces together (sentences, phrases) and the one's I don't I know I will at a later stage hopefully.
One thing I've been doing lately is listening to "sing to Jehovah" songs in German on my Ipod while I walk or run. 
I might get hold of some German literature/newspaper or the like as well
