Hai or hu

When do I use "hai" and when "hu" at the end of a word?

Hi Debora, Both hai and hu come from :होना (hona) verb to be.(infinitive) Hai(है) = is For example:मेरा नाम जॉन है(Mera naam Jon hai) - My name is John. Hu(हूँ) =am.
