Par vs pe

Hello friends I am helping my friend with his Hindi and I need help with a grammar elated query . I just wondered if you could tell me the difference between the Hindi conjunctions 'par' & 'pe'. To my understanding, both can be used interchangeably. But 'par' is more formal. I could use main ghar par hoon but the more commonly used expression is 'main ghar pe hoon'. दोस्तों कर्पिया क्या आप लोग मुझे बता सकते पे और पर में क्या अंतर है । कोनसी परिस्थतियो में पर का उपयोग करना चाहिए और पे का उपयोग करना चाहिए । मैं सामान्य रूप से पे का उपयोग करता हूँ जैसे मैं कहूँगा ' मुझे तुम पे भारोसा है या भाभी जी घर पा है ।

You are right! There is no clear cut distinction that can be made between the words "पर - para" and "पे - pe." Both can be used interchangeably. 

Technically, the word "पर - par" is more common in written Hindi as it is considered more grammatically sound. Whereas the word ​"पे - pe" is used more informally, mostly in spoken hindi. Both are correct in their own ways.
