What's the past tense difference between saying “I ate” or “Maine khaya" (completed action) vs “I used to eat" “Main kaathi thi” (prior habit)? I am trying to differentiate what these two versions of past tense are called, and learn the rules. It seems like one has “maine” vs other has “main” and the verb is conjugated completely differently as well.
I also want then to figure out how to translate this to other pronouns beyond oneself.
Is there a lesson on this already?
