Change to Website - no recording on Writing section

Working on the Writing section.  Previously, after writing in the answer, the program provided the correct written word/phrase and the pronounciation.  There was then an opportunity to record and check the pronounciation.  Now, the program provides the correct pronounciation, but there is no opportunity for the student to record.  This is the “writing” portion of the lesson, but the more chances for repeating a word/phrase and checking the pronounciation, the better, IMHO.

The new system does allow us to get through the section faster.  We can still repeat the word, just not have the pronounciation checked.  Some may prefer the revision - you can't please everyone!  I also really like that if we leave out a word or letter, the missing element now shows up when the answer is displayed.

I agree with you, Susan.  The more speaking practice opportunities, the better.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the writing section. It sounds like there have been some changes in the platform. It's great that you're adapting to the new system and finding ways to work with it effectively.
 

Repetition and pronunciation practice are indeed crucial in language learning. While the current setup may not include the pronunciation check after writing, it's good to hear that you're still able to repeat the words for reinforcement. The feature of showing missing elements in the displayed answer is a helpful addition for a more detailed review.
