Level 2

Am finding level 2 tough. Seems to have a big gap between level one and two. I like that the survival phrases have some explanations. I find there is less of a balance, so much grammar, so going is slow. Am going to move onto the travel ones.

I miss the fact that level one had some sense of humour thrown in. I still smile at Alessandro's speedo sentence.

It is slower going for sure, sebongela.  I'm currently on the verb Piacere, and have been stuck on that lesson for the longest of all lessons so far.  Can't figure out why, but am going through the conjugations over and over, and they're taking a long time to sink in.  It's even more evidence to me however, that the in-depth content of Rocket's programme is by far the most impressive out there.  One step at a time!  Chris

Hi ChrisM108

You always put such a positive spin on things, makes me feel more inspired. I think I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed by the grammar. Have started the Survival kit, as enjoy expanding my vocabulary.

I find putting the grammar into context more difficult, as the sentences are more random and sometimes find it difficult to remember all the exceptions to the rules. Next time they have a discount will also purchase the travel ones. Been delving into the free lessons and quite like them. Saw that U.K. has got a green light on 12 countries. Saw Singapore and Brunei are on the list. Lived in both once upon a time. I'm sure Singapore still requires quarantine. Am planning on going back there someday and then onto Thailand. Portugal is on the list I saw. I assume that you have probably been there.

My husband is Portuguese. but from Mozambique. His whole family have basically left South Africa and are all in Portugal. Will visit there someday, but Italy is first on my list.

Take care and happy learning

Sebongela
