I am on the second level of learning Italian. Today, I completed lesson 2.5. As I look ahead, the next few lessons have little conversation, and are all grammar and verbs. Instead of going from 2.1 through 2.5, was I supposed to go 2.1 to 2.6 to 2.11 then back up to 2.2?? I'm very confused as to the best way to follow the study plan. Please help!

I recommend doing a "Language and Grammer" section (2.6) along with a regular lesson (2.1). Then go to the next language and grammar lesson (2.7) along with the next regular lesson (2.2). These usually come in pairs. The language and grammar lessons provide a lot of background info that is used in the regular lessons.

I new here Robert and I saw these last 10 days you study like a workaholic (take it as a compliment) because the point I do every day. Today I broke my record but I'm in front of my notebook in the last 5 hours lol. One doubt, shouldn't I follow the chapter 1.1 to 1.15 as 1.1 to 1.5 is Interactive Audio and 1.6 to 1.15 is Language & Culture ? I'm asking it because your advice above makes me feel mix up. By the way, I'm studing French. Thank you in advance.

For every "Interactive Audio" lesson (1.1 to 1.5) there is a corresponding "Language and Culture" lesson. Sometimes there are two "Language and Culture" lessons. The corresponding "Language and Culture" lesson usually highlights something that is being presented in the corresponding "Interactive Audio" lesson. So, I suggest you do both together. I now prefer working through the corresponding "Language and Culture" lesson, then listen to the audio, then do the "Play It" exercises, and then finish it off.
This is just me. Rocket Languages will say whatever works for you is what you should do. However, they really should explain to people what I just said because this is a constant point of confusion.

Hi Robert and Diane,
Robert you are correct in how the audio and the culture sections work, it seems the most logical way to do it.
Audio is always good for when you are on the move, you can listen almost anywhere you go.
To help clarify about your request on explaining to people about what you said, it has been brought up in the past in other threads but there so many threads and reply posts that it would probably take as long if not longer to find the one you want than to actually doing your lessons.
Have you tried looking at the 'Advanced Learning Techniques' in your tool box.
Hope this helps.

I think the way the lessons are numbers (1.1 through 1.5, 1.6 through 1.10) gives people the impression that one should do the first five "Interactive Audio" (IA) lessons followed by the first five "Language and Culture" (L&C) lessons. I suggest they either be renumbered 1.1 for the first IA lesson, the 1.2 for the first L&C lesson, then 1.3 for the second IA lesson, then 1.4 for the second L&C lesson and so on. Or, alternatively, go 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2.1, 1.2.2...
I actually remember reading my first "Rocket Fuel" email which suggested that I look at the first language and culture lesson and then I noticed this pattern.

The lessons really should be renumbered to reflect the order they should be completed in. This seems to be a point of confusion among many people.

Thank you Robert for sharing. I was doing all the audio then the Grammar and having to keep going back to the audio. So then I started doing the audio followed by the Grammar, but I like your order of study, grammar first then audio, I think this will help much in understanding the audio lessons.
Grazie mille
