Should I complete all of the survival kit lessons in a given level before moving on to the interactive audio lessons in the next level?

Hi JoelS18,
That would be your decision; we have a suggested guideline to follow the lessons in the order given within each Module, but if you feel more comfortable taking a different approach, the course is flexible enough to allow you to do that.
Kind Regards!

In all due respect you did not answer Joel’s question. Do you suggest that we complete the interactive modules before the survival and cultural exercises? I understand that everyone has their own learning method but I’m interested to hear what rocket recommends.

Hi WilliamR18, no problem at all, if the reply was not specific enough, I can expand on it :) By following the suggested guideline, that is, following the numbers in the lesson, you would first complete the Audio lessons, then move on to the Language&Culture lessons and then to the Survival Kit lessons, within a Module. You would then move on to the next Module until you complete the level.
But as mentioned before, that's not the only approach a member can follow, and you can all explore different approaches and see which one fits your needs better.
Kind Regards!

Thank you for your prompt response it is much appreciated.
The steps that you outlined in your message are what I’ve been doing all along so it sounds like my approach is consistent with what Rocket recommends. Again, I understand that one’s learning habits are different but I wanted to know if what I was doing was outside the norm.

Hi Rocket,
Along the same lines as the Wiliam & Joel's questions what is the order recommended? I'm a bit confused about the order of doing the lessons.
I started off doing lessons in order viz: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, ... , 1.7, 1.8, 1.9.
But I see in the Rocket Fuel that it recommends 2.1 (interactive audio) then 2.6 (language & culture). Is this a better approach? I need all the help I can get - I'm a visual & read/write learner and learning a language would have to be the most difficult thing I've done ever!
Kind regards

Hi AndrewT17,
The order we suggest is the one you were doing: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and so on. Please note that the newsletters are sent once per week, and the main purpose of it is to remind you or encourage you to access the course and take the lessons, that's why we include one Audio lesson and one L&C lesson, so you can choose which one to take or review, but it is not the order you should follow, as we believe you should take, review or practice every single day, whether it is a whole lesson, or just part of it.
We're not all the same though, and that's why the course is flexible enough to allow you to follow the order you would like to, so, by accessing the course everyday, some people feel they learn better by taking one audio lesson, and then, one L&C lesson; or, taking the L&C first, and then the Audio lessons.
Kind Regards!
