This is way more frustrating than the library tapes

Is anyone challenged by this software? Why do I constantly have to rate everything. Is that the analog they are using to see how we are doing? The microphone thing is kind of a joke. I paid $100 for this thing and it's actually really pissing me off in English and italian. I can't even figure out what lesson I'm on. Anyone else have problems with this. Does it get better? Because I wasn't doing bad on my own. I still hope to meet some nice people here though because I won't give up.

Hi dglspeaks I sometimes wonder why people need to rate everything, you certainly don’t need to. I think the points system can have it’s negative side, maybe people more concerned with points and rushing through their lessons, I don’t know? As to you not knowing what lesson your on I’m confused!? If you click on the drop down menu on your dashboard on the package you are learning it will show you another menu with ‘audio’ and ‘language and culture’ if you hover over one of these it will give you a numerical listing of the lessons and if you rate one when you have done it, when you go back you can see at a glance what you have or haven’t done. ‘The microphone thing’ I have changed to chrome because I had problems (a joke) when I was using IE, maybe that could be the problem. Please don’t give up, just go at your own pace and forget about points for the moment, and yes it does get better. If you click on your toolbox on the left hand side of your dashboard there is a tab ‘Advanced learning techniques’ that may help you along your way. I hope this is of some help and good luck ciao

I see the rating system more about rating how I am doing rather than rating the product, that way I know what words or sentences I need to focus more on. Think of it that way and see if it helps.
