Shuri Castle destroyed by fire

I saw video recordings of the fire on Twitter and read the news as well. It's a shame such a wonder of the world is now gone in ashes. But I do believe that the people of Okinawa will be able to rebuild the castle to its former glory once more.

If anyone can rebuild, it's the Japanese people.

I have faith that it will be rebuilt, but the first restoration took more than 30 years. I hope for a more optimistic timeline this time, but I fear it may take longer as the materials and skilled craftsmen needed are hard to find. 

Slightly OT, but by comparison the french president is calling for Notre Dame to be rebuilt in five years.

I think that he is overly optimistic, especially since the people charged with the task are publicly fighting, but I would love to be proven wrong. Notre Dame is a treasure I would like to see restored.

沖縄は、いろいろな廃墟城(haikyo-jō)があるのです。
首里城は昔のレプリカだったので、再構築　(sai kōchiku ) には長い時間がかかりました。
私は沖縄に行ったときまだまだ、おわってしまらなかったので、再構築は終わった時には、見えませんでした。とても悲しいです。
