I was listening to the conversations, and thought something was amiss. I realized what it was. Pimseular's Japanese conversations are at normal conversation speed. After listening to the conversations on Rocket Japanese I have had problems hearing my tutor fast enough. I spent a few hours today listening to the Pimseular conversations and I feel a little more confident.
Does anyone else think that the conversations are too slow? That, to me, is a major strike against this program. I like the way it's set up, but I don't want to think too slowly to be able to follow a real, full speed conversation.

I don't think that a full speed conversation on the beginning would be too good because you have to learn the basics at first.
Alone the fact that if you learn a language at school you'll never start full speed proves that.
And my experience is (I learned English and French), that if you understand a language if it's slowly spoken you just need to watch some movies, hear radio or talk to other people in that language than you'll understand it pretty fast.

I agree with both of you, that the lessons are too slow for normal conversation, but that you need them at that speed at first. My solution? Windows media player, view, enhancements, show enhancements. You can put it up to 8 times faster if you really want, I review my lessons at about 2 times the speed (once I'm comfortable with them).
