I tried using the kanji keyboard by typing in anata when it asked for anata. It only gave me options for katakana and hiragana. how do you use it?
how does the kanji keyboard work?

If you are using a Windows PC download the keyboard and in the taskbar bottom right you will see the ENG for English. Click it and you will see Japanese, click it. If the symbol changes to an A then click that symbol until it becomes an あ and you will be able to type in Japanese.

Just start typing and as the words start coming out the Kanji should be automatic or selected from options by hitting the spacebar.

It is kind of like that a menu box will appear.
I can type like this. 今日は日本語を勉強しています きょうはにほんごをべんきょうしています by typing the full sentence and hitting the sapcebar it changes it to kanji. If I do not hit the spacebar it leaves it in hiragana.
