I have just started Japanese and I am doing fine, except the Composing Kana and Kanji parts. How am I to know how to construct written sentence in lesson 1.1? What am I missing?
Thanks, Eric

Throughout the lessons with flashcards, listening and speaking, the written form is provided but I am focusing on listening and speaking. I guess I thought I would be introduced to kanji before being asked to apply it.
I dont think I am supposed to jump ahead to Module 5 to start Kanji just yet.

Hi Erok2020,
Sorry to hear that you're struggling a little with the navigation!
These activities are extra tests that test your Japanese character knowledge. Of course, we do not expect brand new learners to Japanese to be able to complete these activities, but we still believe that there should be a feature for users to test these skills. As such, you can skip these activities until you are more confident in your Kanji / Kana skills. You are then able to return to the earlier lessons and complete this activity once you can read Japanese. There is no detriment to not completing these activities; they do not count for points and do not count towards completion.
If you would like to practice writing individual Kanji characters, the Writing lessons from Module 5 all teach different Kanji, this can be a great way to start increasing your Kanji knowledge and build on what you already know. As you do not need to complete previous lessons to continue on to the next one, you can start learning the Kanji in Module 5 whenever you like.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your response. I just want to make sure that I am following your path. I am going to start learning Kanji. I wasn't sure if I missed something or not. Thanks for the explanation. I will forge ahead!
